Writing + Socratic Mind
Design‑Based Math
Mathematical design projects linking art, coding, and real-world problem-solving.
The Bien-Aimé approach unites academic rigor with creative craft, cultivating thinkers who reason deeply, communicate confidently, and learn in ways that honor their unique cognitive strengths.
Cognitive Atelier
A studio model for thinking:
plan → draft → test → refine.
Students learn like designers — ideas evolve on the page, discipline meets imagination, and systems of thought take shape.
Math is Language
Fluency in notation, vocabulary, and structure.
Students learn to read, write, and speak mathematics with clarity, precision, and confidence.
Socratic Mind
Purposeful dialogue that sharpens thought.
Students build curiosity, rigor, and evidence-based reasoning across subjects — from math proofs to essays.
STEAM Studio
Real-world creation and applied imagination.
Students build, code, cook, prototype, and model their thinking through design, engineering, and art.

A few notes from families and students.
“All the good times we spent talking about mathematical shortcuts really increased my knowledge…The fun I had in your class boosted my confidence in math to the point where I earned an award for Excellence in Mathematics.”

FAQ
Do you offer trial sessions?
Yes—book a 30‑minute intro call at no cost to align goals and fit.
Do you tutor students with IEPs?
Absolutely. We provide scaffolded materials, executive‑function supports, and family‑friendly notes.
How do online sessions work?
We use collaborative whiteboards, shared documents, and brief post-session reflections.
Do you communicate with teachers or schools?
Not at this time.
I equip students with the skills, clarity, and confidence to advocate for themselves and succeed independently. Families receive regular progress notes so everyone stays aligned and informed.
How soon will we see progress?
Students demonstrate learning every session.
At the end of each lesson, they complete a brief exit ticket so I can assess understanding in real time. This guides next-session planning and ensures any needed review or skill reinforcement happens right away.
Families can expect visible growth in clarity, confidence, and accuracy within the first few weeks — supported by consistent feedback and measurable learning checks.
Do you offer in-person sessions in NYC?
Yes — in-person sessions are available in select NYC locations. Because of travel and preparation time, in-person rates are higher than online sessions. Families interested in in-person support can request availability and pricing during the intro call.
